knok
An animated explainer for knok, a platform that connects patients to doctors remotely.
Loads from youtube.com Animation Illustrated characters and interface, in motion
Illustration A style of its own, from patient to doctor to app screen
Editing A cut at the pace of the voice over, no filler
Delivery A piece ready for the site, app stores and social
The challenge
Explaining a new service in seconds
Problem
A remote health platform has to beat mistrust before it explains features. If the video opens with a feature list, it loses anyone who hasn't yet grasped what it's for.
Decision
We started from the person's situation, and only then showed the app solving it. First the why, then the how.

Inside the video
The production decisions
Why animation instead of live footage
Animation shows the app and the patient's situation without relying on actors or screen recordings. It also keeps the piece current when the interface changes.
How the message stays clear
One idea per shot, a character leading the story, and the voice over explaining while the image shows. No clinical jargon.
