What a landing page is and when you need one
What a landing page is, what it's for and when it makes sense to have one instead of a whole website.
A landing page is a single page with one goal. No menu with ten tabs, no distractions. Someone arrives, understands the offer and does one thing: leaves their details, books, buys or subscribes. That’s it.
What it’s for
Unlike your website, which presents everything you do, a landing page focuses on a single message. That’s why it converts better. Whoever lands there came looking for exactly that, and the page doesn’t let their attention wander off elsewhere. Fewer choices, more action.
When it makes sense to have one
A landing page shines when you have a campaign running. Social or Google ads, a new product, an event, a promotion with a set date. Sending that traffic to your homepage usually dilutes the result. A landing built around the campaign makes far better use of each visit, and each euro of advertising.
It doesn’t replace your website
Careful, a landing page isn’t there to replace your website. It lives alongside it, for a specific goal and for a set time. The site stays your home, the landing is the shop window of a campaign.
